It took an hour to get from the exit to the parking lot, which, in theory, should take at most 10 minutes. Since there's really only one way in from the freeway, the line of cars inches along. Once we got to the Valley View exit, we realized that the line just to get in to the parking lot was ridiculously long. start for the opening act, we hung out in Pacific Beach and left for the arena around 6:30 p.m. Having attended a concert at the Bowl before, I opted for this venue to avoid dealing with Hollywood Blvd and the $30-$40 parking fees you inevitably pay in the area. Living in Orange County, I had the option of coming down to SD or driving north to the Hollywood Bowl.
